Not all heroes need to be superhumanly strong warriors.   The main hero spent much of his life in hospital, and now finds himself playing a VRMMO as a crafting class. While other smight find it boring, he finds all the mundane tasks fantastic after being unable to do them in real life. His earnest joy of life and sincerity are heartwarming. I am holding back 1/2 a star only because some of the characters are a bit cliche, in particular the other players who gained class rewards. This kind of thing usually improves with writing experience though, and if it does I will edit. :)

Interesting and unique angle on character development

The story, first of all, is great. The main character and many of the NPCs are well fleshed out so that when situations come up and the character acts a certain way, you know why. The MC playing as an elfling is unique too and the story overall is very heart-warming. You end up feeling a lot like the doctors in the story. Being able to create empathy in the reader is the mark of a great storyteller. On that point, keep it up.   Critique
  • One adult female is supposed to be called a ‘woman’, not a ‘women’. Fix this and I’ll up the grammar score.
  • Issues with plural forms. For example more than one RPG is spelled RPGs, NPC -> NPCs, leisure’s -> leisure, hole’s -> holes, aura’s -> auras, magic’s -> magic, penalty’s -> penalties (Some of these are common mistakes, but mistakes nonetheless.) There are similar issues with apostrophes elsewhere as well.
  • A couple of issues with there/their/they’re, but it’s not consistent so could just be typos. (This did not affect my grammar score)
If all you want is action, then these are not the droids you're looking for. Move along. If you love reading however, check this out. The story is as good as the title.

Pretty good, but needs some work on characterization

I really enjoy this fanfiction, probably more so than I enjoy any other stories here at present. That said, it could use a little work on the characterizations. Don't get me wrong--I'm actually quite pleased by the MC, who is more than just a representation of a single quirk/flaw, and actually progresses to the point that this story could probably be categorized as a bildungsroman (if only RR had such classifications!).

To be specific, my only beef with this story is the way in which the adversarial characters are portrayed. The three players who beat the MC are basically avatars of assholery. They appear to have no depth of personality besides just generally being irritating snobs. While they may play only a secondary role so-far, they still are the MC's main adversaries, so fleshing them out and making them resemble human beings by giving them more than a single thought/feeling would be beneficial in the long run, and would make the fanfiction better as a whole. :)

Awesome characters, a new world, hardworking and drama

Loved the FF from the first chapter.   You can feel the pain from the mc and the hardships he had to endure.   His dedication and commitment to crafting and farming materials is in word "awesome".   mining for days sounds boring, reading about it should also be boring. But the author manages to turn something like that into a fun, loving and hardworking masterpiece.

Very engaging

i love that the author is taking the time to develop the protagonist properly and doesn’t rush  through his development in favor of flashy sequences; elf-ling  running out of the cave was funny. I just wish the Author would put out chapters faster. perhaps I’m just hungry for more
