Hello, everyone! Do you enjoy urban fantasy action, adventure and battle in the vein of A Certain Magical Index and Fate/Stay Night? Do you want to see magi, vampires, and all manner of otherworldly badasses clash both in the open and behind closed doors? If you do, I present to you: Storia!

If you enjoy Brandon Sanderson's intricate and comprehensive magic systems, or Patrick Rothfuss's beautiful prose, or Stephen King's facility with language, or Max Gladstone's use of fantastic elements as a means of explaining the invisible forces that move the real world, well... I am not any of those authors. I am, however, deeply inspired and influenced by their work, and strive to approach their level of writing. I hope you give Storia a try, and do let me know what you think!

Unique setting so far, really creative

There's not too much so far to base this review off of, but as of chapter three, the story is fabulous.  I'll go through this in more depth and explain why I gave each amount of stars.

Style:  The style is really strong, with good quality writing and a really unique voice.  However, I was thrown off because so far, especially in the first chapter, there was a strong lack of dialogue.  It's all description- explaining what's happening, showing what the current POV character is thinking, etc., but although the character talks some, you haven't really found a balance.  And I think this needs some work, because all of the paragraphs of description feel silted and unnatural.

Grammar score:  The grammar is fairly impressive, probably better than my own.  I don't really judge a story on it's grammar, but I was rarely ever confused about the meaning of a sentence.  Not much of a problem here, although I would suggest going over multiple times more to make sure.

Story score:  Full of conflict and tension from the very first page, the story is terrifying, and sent chills down my spine.  To be honest, this really is not my usual genre, but nevertheless, it was a facinating change.  The setting, too, really grabbed me, and already, the strangeness of this place captivates me.

Character score:  The story rotates from multiple point of views, each adding more layers of depth to the story.  The story is still beginning, and it's hard to be too invested in them yet, but the characters themselves are very intriguing, and I'm really, really excited to see what you do with them in the future.
