John Thomson is a regular college student, the kind of average person you cross on the street every day.
Or at least that’s what most people assume, because he’s far from what’s considered “normal”.
After all, a normal person isn’t regularly dragged into life-threatening tribulations involving fantastic creatures, otherworldly beings and people with logic-defying superpowers. Not to mention that he seems to have a knack for sticking his nose into the nefarious plans of secret societies and ancient cults.
But John’s life wasn’t always such a mess: Everything began when he accidentally invented a way to rewind time…
Weekly Schedule: At least a ~3.5k words chapter every Wednesday and Friday.
Blue mages learn skills from beasts. This is the story of one fortunate enough to be taken in by dragons.
Book 1 and Book 2 available on Amazon!
Please note that this is the original, unpublished, web-novel version.

A college student finds himself transported into a strange land with burgeoning magical powers, and is taken in by Ned Stark. Will he sink or swim in this medieval society, and will he ever get home?
OC-insert without knowledge of Game of Thrones, new planeswalker. Slow power ramp.
Second crossover: Star Wars (around chapter 39).
As a note, I started this as a speed writing challenge to myself. The challenge was successful, and I managed 100,000+ words (as well as some character sheets in excel and such) over 10.5 days. Then I had to stop and let my hands recover from their burgeoning carpal tunnel syndrome. The story currently stands at around 150,000 words (or ~550 RRL pages) over 54 chapters; expect a chapter a day until I've caught up with the backlog.
The focus of this story was not quality writing, and that hasn't changed. I mostly use it as my semi-guilty "I need to write something, but am not focused enough to write something good" story. Expect self-indulgent writing in general, and a bit of OP (or, well, more than just a bit if we're being honest), especially later in the story as the protagonist matures into a more full-blown Planeswalker.
But if you're looking for something with a power-ramping protagonist romping around the place, something you'd be a bit embarrassed to admit liking (I know I am) but like anyways (and come on, this is RRL, so that probably describes just about everyone here who actually has shame), then this may be a nice bit of mental junk food for you.
She used to be a bright child. She was just not fortunate enough to have a normal life. Ill and bed-ridden, she slowly lost affect and cut herself off from outer reality, as her only joy was to construct a complex fantasy world. And eventually, she met her demise.
Nevertheless, her story did not end here. Who is to say that Death is our last path? For her, it was just the beginning. She had been given a second chance. Reborn as a Goddess in the very own world that she created, it was now only up to her to write her own story.
‘This time, let’s try to live normally.’
Warning: Slow Character Development
Do not expect regular releases. I can no longer stick to a specific release schedule, so the chapters will be released once the entire arc is done, which implies long hiatus periods between arcs.
Here I am, sitting on a mountain so far away from civilisation it might as well be the godforsaken arse of the world, about to ascend. Can't wait to leave this crapfest of a planet... Turns out that the higher ups decided that an unaffiliated rogue like me is too big of a risk to let run around free.
Seems like this entire cultivation world is a late stage capitalist money making machine for the powers that be in the higher realms, and me stealing the good loot in front of their descendants and sect disciples noses finally pissed them off enough to take action.
First, they sent all the sect masters and hidden dao protectors to off me - which failed, obviously. Heh, afterwards they simply bitch slapped me out of their universe though.
That is interesting and all, but I just woke up in a valley watching some critters murder each other while trying not to freak out about how bad it smells here.
Soo… where the fuck am I? Why is that deer fighting a feathery squirrel? Why am I teaching this baby rabbit saved from a cannibalistic mother how to kick beings in the face with the power of qi?

Ten years…. For ten years, I traveled throughout Yggdrasil with my friends, both old and new. We explored massive catacombs, underground rivers, and kingdoms made entirely of gold. But that time of peaceful exploration has come to an end and the time for action is upon us.
We know what we have to do and for the most part, we accept it. However, recently, a divide has appeared inside our close-knit group. Though not serious enough to cause true issues, it has caused unnecessary tension among the elves. The goblins and I, on the other hand, we know and accept what we have to do to make this world safer for the next generation.
Each monster race has its own royal family and it’s this family that we must either recruit… or assimilate by force, if necessary. For our dream of a peaceful future, where true war doesn’t exist, where children no longer need to be orphaned from monster attacks, and where my wife can live out her days happily…. Even if I won’t be there to ensure her safety.
I know our chances aren’t great and I’ve come to accept that I will probably die long before I see the benefits of our work, but that won’t stop me… Us, it won’t stop us.
The goblins and l will rise to the top and bring the monster races together under one banner, while the elves do the same for the ‘civilized’ races and at the end, if we do it right, the only thing that could stand between us and true peace, is the antagonistic gods and their followers.
If they leave us alone and allow us to live out our lives in peace, then I’ve decided to leave them and theirs alone… However, should they stand in our way or harm any of the people I care about, then even if I have to consume Yggdrasil itself, I. Will. Kill. Them.

This is the Tale of G.O.D. (And how Humanity never reached the Stars)
Antioch is a sheltered being and knows little about the world. Although he harbours his own secrets, he doesn't comprehend the scale of the adventure he is about to embark on. Being locked up in a research station, he is content with his fate, but when he starts receiving strange messages, he suspects that not everything is well in his little world.
When it's abruptly decided that the project has to be ended, Antioch is faced with the large world outside his prison.
He won't like what he finds... and there are powers at play who would love to put the escaped subject back into the box.
But as in so many tales, it's hard to close Pandora's Box once it was opened.
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires.
May 24, 2018 - I have been stupidly busy with my teaching position, and school is out on June 28th. I've been hiding in embarrassment, which is why I haven't commented till now. I'm sorry... you guys deserve better. Since, being a teacher, I have no expectation of being busy during the summer, I have every expectation that I'll finish it before school starts again.
Release Schedule: My deadline for release is 1 week after any regular chapter. If I release early, then my deadline is moved up accordingly. As a result, readers will never have to wait more than one week for new story content. Bonus chapters don't count against my deadline, so they never slow down plot progression.
Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals.
Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book one, current outline has it ending with chapter 29. I've often found myself not able to squeeze all the content I meant to into a single chapter, so it keeps getting longer. My estimates, based on that, would probably be in the low to mid 30's. Book 2 doesn't have a chapter by chapter outline yet. With 35 chapters, and no more than one chapter per week, that would put the story's completion in November. Realistically, since I usually release faster than that, it'll probably be done sooner.
Theme: This is a story about the theme of power - what it means to be powerful, different forms of power, and ultimately the meaning of the power to choose. The protagonist is initially timid and oblivious in a number of ways, but eventually must face herself. The fact that the story focuses so heavily on the process of personal growth is why I labeled it "drama" and "psychological."
Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft.
Behind the Scenes notes:
This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP.
Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them.
In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.
Hello, my name is Emris smith. I was a not so normal medical tech working in a university hospital in england. I was sent on a 3 day conference course in Leicester and I got transported back in time to the 6th century England, except magic was real. This is story of how I became legend. How I became Merlin.
Also the origins of the word queen in the cross-dressing sense. But ignore that bit, i never actually wore womens clothes

Life and freedom. Those desperate desires that consume humanity. As Augustus starts playing Gods' Nature due to coincidence, he finds himself learning more about the world, the people he knows and himself. A thoughtful approach to virtual reality and the nature of life.
*Warning, this story has a slow start as I build up characters and the world. If you are looking for something that dives right into action then this is probably not the fiction for you. If you want believable plot, good development, and character growth, then I welcome you.*
*This work is under constant improvement. A large chapter every three weeks, next release date is July 14, 2018.*
Surprisingly, in the fantasy LitRPG genre.
A girls death forms the foundation for a plan centuries in the making. But when she shakes off their control, and forces the plans of beings millenia old to change, can she avoid being tied up as a loose end? With only what she could take with her in her mind, and a new body with surprising depths, she begins her new life in a world unlike her own.
This is my first writing project in almost a decade, so there is going to be a lot of improvements from me as I shake off the rust. And of course, as the world I'm creating comes to life! So if you like the concept, please bear with me, and hopefully I'll reach the high standards I know you have.
Witness the power of my complete lack of any artistic talent! There is now cover art for this fiction. Its just barely better than the default, but hey, minimalism is in, right?
Earth is a fairly small place, but it's all Bath has. It's the only home he's ever known for all of his 500-or-so-million years of life. One day, Bath realized his treasured Earth was being drawn into the next mass extinction ahead of schedule. So, fascinated by the humans and their quick rise to power (after all, setting off a mass extinction is a pretty sizable achievement), what's a nearly all-powerful, somewhat bored, morally ambiguous, savagely violent, shapeshifting alien entity to do other than assume the form of a human and do some front-line investigating?
Little did Bath know he would soon stumble upon a mysterious human organization with a gate leading to planets eons away. And that's just the beginning...
A story with aliens, intergalactic space travel, mind powers, and an abundance of adventure!
Hello and thank you for reading! Constructive criticism and grammar-policing are both appreciated.
Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 are complete at 1271 pages! Part 7 is in progress!
If you've ever read any other web serials, you might've noticed that authors get better with time (that is, their art or writing improves). This is also the case with Apex Predator. The first two parts (ranging just under 30 chapters, or 161 pages) are absolutely subpar. While I have edited them as of 7-10-18, they require a rewrite, which is currently in the works but not complete.
For a sample that gives insight into what the latter ~80% of the story's writing style is like, check out chapter 56.

Eldritch horrors descend from the sky to consume the world. Only a last-minute intervention by a mysterious Hegemony of Worlds saves Earth, albeit temporarily. Skills, levels, and battles with twisted monsters are part of the new reality the survivors will have to face.
Augustus Finn is a young man driving home when the new system is imposed. He is thrown directly into danger as a twist of fate places him in an area designated, by the automated systems of the Hegemony, for the containment and disposal of eldritch energy - areas also known as dungeons. Without the aid of tutorials, or the orientation areas commonly known as "newbie zones," Augustus will have to make his own way to survive in unforgiven circumstances.
He will face monsters, aliens, other humans, and his own darkness as he struggles to grow strong enough to face the countdown to apocalypse.
Just imagine a world in which the gods have to answer your prayers. You might think that such a world should be a paradise, but would all-powerful beings really be pleased about being teleported out of the shower?
This is the direct Prequel to Until Death.
A group of friends are hired to test a new game linked to a powerful corporation. They soon find out though that they are not just testing the game, but helping create it.
Outside the game, the past of one catches up which has consequences for all of them.
Will the game help or hurt them?
The version on here will stay but does not match the published version exactly.
People Started falling down in pain at first.
Then they saw screens and could sense an energy within them called mana by the screens.
These people could gain skills, cast magic and do the impossible.
Two weeks after, without fail, they disappear, never to be seen again.
It was called the two week curse.
Erik West was a combat medic, he was trying to save his friends lives, then he was blown up, leaving him with just one arm. At first he thought he had an infection, but then comes the news. He has the two week curse.
Let's just see if there is such a thing as healing magic.

A thousand year old succubus has grown tired of devouring men. With the help of a lich lord, she invents a new spell that will allow her to grow more powerful in a much less distasteful manner.
Elorion is just your average high school student lazing around during summer break and thinking about bacon. After a solid gaming session, he removes his VR headset to find a monster waiting to kidnap him.
He wakes to find that he’s not alone. Nineteen other students have also been taken. The last thing he expects happens next. He is given the ability to use magic and level up! There’s a catch. With his dormant talents unlocked he must grow in power to please his new master.
To level up he must face the monsters of the Underworld. If he doesn’t fight he will die. But if he does fight, will he survive?
Lu Shu was a Devil Cultivator who by purely relying on his own strength and by overcoming countless obstacles, he reached the tribulation all Devil Cultivators must pass to become immortal, the "Death Tribulation", but when the last bolt was about to come down and he was about to achieve immortality he...! Died. Yes, the strongest man in all of Artronia, suddenly died while he was in a Tribulation.
Little did Lu Shu know that he was incredibly "lucky" and was chosen by a council Gods to reincarnate into a world of random choosing and it just so happened to be an Ability User World and in this world, he'll thrive once more and become the Devil King just like in his last life.
Disclaimer: I do not own the cover photo and if you are the one who owns it and do not want me to use it, pm me and I'll remove it.
Also this is my first novel, I wanna put all the ideas in my head into an actual story so I thought I'd give it a go, constructive criticism is welcome as long as it's helpful.
P.s I'm not doing a prologue mainly because all you need to know about how he died is in the Synopsis, I might do a chapter with the council of God's if people want it.
