The whole room is fully ablaze when the fire turns blue and even hotter. And I still keep my hands on the rune, ignoring the sizzling of my flesh. After a while I notice the blue, roaring flames on the other side of the window. At the edge of unconsciousness, I listen to the screams of people as they are taken by the Inferno.

All Hail the Tiny Snake God!
When life ends, many believe a soul is judged. Warriors might go to Valhalla, saints might go to heaven, and evil-doers go to hell... but what about someone who doesn't fall into any of those categories?
Well, some of them end up like... this.
From the online web-serial, comes a story of reincarnation, comedy, and the winding path towards existential redemption.
The Snake Report: All Hail the Tiny Snake God.
(Now available on Amazon!)
Genesis. It is the end of countless stories. The end of thousands of universes, billions of planets, and trillions of lives. But what is taken may also be given, as shown in the story of Cael King. A young man of Earth, knowing only a life of study and work in the relentless and endless pursuit of satisfaction. This is the origin of his story.
Inspired by the system used in The Legend of Randid.ly Ghosthound. The system is an homage but the characters, world, and story are unique. I will post as often as I can and, given that I am not starting work until July, that should be pretty frequently. If you have any suggestions or comments please feel free to leave them as this is my first story and I'd love to improve both it and my writing style.
My name is Richard Brooks. I died while saving a kid.
Kicking the bucket at 28 was really depressing, you know? There’s so much I still wanted to do.
But instead of passing on, I was thrust into an endless series of reincarnations. Whenever I die, I earn Karma points based on my achievements and growth. These points can be exchanged for weapons, spells, or other bonuses to make my next lives more interesting.
“What kills me only makes me stronger!” Or something like that.
Honestly, it feels like I’m stuck in an RPG. The difficulty setting can be pretty ridiculous too.
Sometimes all I can do is grit my teeth in frustration as I die an ignoble death.
But I won’t complain. Even when it’s dangerous and painful, I love life. This is all an opportunity; I’ll do my best, no matter what kind of sadistic fate the System throws at me.
I will swing the warhammer of justice! Craft and enhance the most amazing artifacts! Overwhelm opponents with a barrage of auto-casting spells! Lead powerful vassals in Domain wars!
All for the sake of creating an eternal sanctuary.
With my unique power of Runecrafting, maybe I’ll even become strong enough one day to overturn fate… or at least find out what the hell is really going on.
It might take a few hundred or a thousand lifetimes, but what’s the rush?
I have all the time in the world now.
(Note: R15+ This is the work of a very inexperienced author with a full time job. Please expect an erratic release schedule.)
An ordinary day in the life of Scott Keen suddenly turns tactical as the regular rules of existence are tossed aside for a sexy new reality. The laws of physics are rewritten to force the world to adhere to an apocalyptic change in the very nature of existence, as a turn-based tactical RPG!
Feel the horror and revel in the humor as battles take place one turn at a time amid background music and strange announcer voices.

Jason Elric used to be an ordinary college student living in the heart of San Francisco. He had a part time job, he played online games with friends he got along moderately well with, and he earned reasonably good grades. The worst he really had to worry about in life was turning in his coursework on time and not being late to class.
Now, though? Now fighting for his life and running from a horde of giant frogs that want to make him their next meal is just another Tuesday.
Thanks to a summoning ritual gone terribly right, Jason has found himself trapped in a world eerily similar to the role playing games games he used to play for fun. Unfortunately for the now ex-college student, everything happening around him is terrifyingly real and if he wants to survive, he’ll have to figure out how to exploit the system for his benefit before it’s too late.
The Voice of the World is the first part of what is planned to be a multi-book, Isekai LitRPG story with crafting elements, set in the fantasy world known as Verdania. This is my first time posting online for public consumption, so bear with me as I work to find a style that people like.
While I may occasionally write scenes that may deal with heavy concepts, expect this story to be primarily light hearted high fantasy. There will be a lot of common fantasy tropes involved, as this story got its start as a simple practice exercise, rather than any plan to actually post it. However, it’s grown on me, so I felt it’s worth sharing after all.
Thus, if you’re looking for more serious/original/unusual stories, you might want to look elsewhere. For the rest of you, feel free to leave suggestions, as well as to point out grammar and spelling mistakes; I’ll do my best to make edits to correct them. I do my own editing currently, and it’s easy to miss things when you know what’s supposed to be there, so such call outs are highly encouraged.
Content TLDR: No harems, probably no romance (unless it makes sense for the story later on), definitely no sex (keeping this PG-13 or close to it), limited profanity. Does/Will contain mixes of magic and technology (think Warhammer, Final Fantasy); copious amounts of blue tables; race, gender, and sexual equality concepts; crafting sequences; and (slightly, but not overbearingly) strong protagonists. If you don’t like these things, go elsewhere instead of downvoting people for content instead of writing quality.
Updates Mondays and Thursdays, minimum chapter length ~4000 words. Sometimes longer, sometimes a little shorter if pacing calls for it.
A modern man chased immortality and found it. In a mixture of good and bad luck, he was re-born as part of the Uzumaki clan from the Naruto-verse, some few years before their scheduled destruction. But if Daichi were the sort to allow a little thing like fate to get in his way, he'd never have survived in the first place. Dedicated, intelligent, chock full of ideas from a technologically advanced society, and perfectly willing to scorch the earth, he sets out to avert history.
Can he avert canon, save the Uzumaki, and forge his people into a mighty nation? Or will he fail, dooming his clan to extinction?
At the end of the day, all he wants is a good life. And considering even Death itself didn't stop him, he pities whoever gets in his way.

Author's (Brief) Note:
Back by popular demand. This was my first significant fanfic (and fic in general). I wasn't happy with the writing as time went on, and took it down, but years later am still getting requests to put it back up so I guess some people liked it.
Newly re-released as I finish some minor editing, there are about 100,000 words (~360 RRL pages) already written, so releases should be fast until I catch up with the backlog. That said, it may languish in hiatus at that point if the interest isn't high enough to merit continuing, so if you're the type to only read finished stories (or ones where the author promises to do so), I am very specifically not promising that. On the other hand, if enough people read, like, review, comment, rate, etc. then it will get added to my writing schedule.
Generally, the character is based on a “how badass could someone who hasn't done ridiculously crazy shit be? Or, how does someone with the potential, in another setting, with a lot of luck, to be a badass act and develop as a modern, productive member of society? And then how would they deal with the Naruto-verse?”
Please, please do not judge my writing by this. Unless you really like it, in which case fine, do, but recognize my other writing is likely better (unless it’s that one MTG/ASoIaF/SW fic I did over on SB as a speed-writing experiment, which is also pretty terrible).
" Greetings! I'm Loki.....God of mischief and trickery....Wish to hear the tale of Kayle Shaw, a man forsaken by his own world and transported to another.... by me! A world of fantasy and magic unlike his original home. A world with elves, dwarves, demi-humans of all kinds and monsters that couldn't be described by words alone. Though upon entering into this new world our Hero quickly discovers everything was much less fairy tail like than he imagined. It's a world run by the strong and ruled by the corrupt. The weak live everyday in torment and slavery with no means of escape while the lands are constantly engulfed in war between guilds, kingdoms, and countries. Follow the man who would eventually flip this world on its head. Starting an orphanage and even establishing his own Kingdom of Shieldfriegan known now as the The Shield of the Weak. A man known by so many names he lost track of them all..... Beast from the East, God Slayer, The Divine Chef, and even for a brief time ' Vali the Reaper ' . But alas all this was only the beginning. This tale is the story ...of my champion."
PS. If you enjoy an OP MC in an even more OP world, you'll like this. Also I will hopefully clean and redo old chapters in time since my dialogue might not be great. I also enjoy doing other POV's, because half the fun of being OP in a new world is getting to see how everyone reacts about it.

First of all. I'm not the Author or creator of this series. The Author(George) allowed me to post this here. You can find his original work on his blog here:
be sure to visit it and thank him for his work. You can also find the latest update at his blog. Here's where you can show your love and support for the story:

A young man dies and is offered to be revived by a grim reaper in exchange for servitude. Responsibilities typically include the fight against abominable horrors, human or otherwise. However, this young man already has a few problems of his own... such as crippling shyness.
The setting of the story is a modern fantasy world called Eleg, which is culturally and technologically similar to present day Earth in many ways, yet also divergent in many others. It's not an alternate timeline, as Eleg has its own geography and political systems, but there are still some historical parallels.

Daniel Hillside lived in his average town with an average life. Some days were worse than others, but one thing every day had was boredom. No thrill, no excitement, no fear, each day just coasted by. That is until the Schema initialized. Status screens turned life into a game. Hordes of monsters turned it into a nightmare.
Most everyone goes through a tutorial to show them the changes. Most everyone besides Daniel. He was spelunking with his friend Michael. Now he's trapped in the BloodHollow Caves where bats crunch through stone like burnt paper. A fresh new hell had started. Instead of hiding from it, Daniel embraced his new life.
In his eyes, you fear the monsters or become what the monsters fear.
This is a lit-RPG inspired by fallout and Legend of Randidly Ghosthound.

As the system initializes, the world shifts. Geography is rearranged and mixed, and levels and stats are instituted across the globe. On that night, one young man was walking through an underground tunnel, his mind on the small problems of his easy life. Because of his location during the shift, he starts in a dungeon far above his level, with no knowledge or teacher, or Newbie Village to guide him. Without a class, he struggles simply to survive in this world changed by its new connection to the Nexus.
But struggle he will, for he is Randidly Ghosthound, and this is only how his legend begins...

This started as a way to destress and play with overly complicated stats systems and level systems, and I just kept writing. I don't really take it very seriously, but feel free to read and enjoy.
There once was a boy that lived in a village with no name in a remote corner of a province in a grand empire. Every villager had their place, and his was a shepherd's. Despite that, or perhaps because of it, the boy was an avid dreamer, yearning for adventure between each book he read.
Decades go by in the blink of an eye and the young boy grows into an old man, yet remains a shepherd, watching his flock live and die in an endless cycle of life.
Yet, the old man dreams on about adventure, never too old to indulge in his delusions.
One fateful night, however, his endless prayer gets answered. Two immortals fall from the sky, and from their corpses, the old man acquires the means to strength in order to adventure.
What does the world have in store for Lao Chen?
This story has undertaken the pledge, assuring that the story will be written until its natural completion. God help me.
Temporary cover image until either 1) I earn enough money to hire a concept artist to make me one or 2) I develop a wide enough fanbase that some godsent artist decides I'm worthy of being made cover art for. At the end of the day, I'm not going to beg for someone to make me one. If the people like the story, someone is bound to come around.
Rated gore and traumatising, potentially triggering. Enjoy!
If this was a light novel, it would probably be called something like "Why Won't Those Adventurers Just Let Me Build In Peace?!"
Unfortunately, even though I have a cheat, my life isn't quite that charmed.
Herein are contained the chronicles of one very exasperated Dungeon Core, formerly a human of Planet Earth.
A young man who's lived his everyday life with bitter pessimism suddenly gets his world turned upside down by what he calls, """"The world's most untimely apocalypse"""". Despite all the new dangers that came with this unexpected situation, he has so far managed to avoid death, ruin and whatever else the world decided to throw at him. Unexpected development after unexpected development, danger after danger, situation after situation, will he survive this **game** of life and death?
I will be posting a chapter a week. (No chapter this week 2/11/17)
When Jake is sentenced to a virtual world for crimes he definitely did commit, he finds that one bad decision puts him on a path he would never have picked for himself.
Virtual reality worlds have become the preferred way of disposing of excess people, and some of the worlds are better than others. Jake finds himself in the swords and sorcery world of Tarinath, living not as the warrior he would have preferred, but as a healer with little ability to do the damage he so wished he could.
From the nothingness I appeared. Bodiless, voiceless, ageless, I have only thoughts and emotions to guide me. My one connection to the world lies in the hearts of a small colony of lizards, just on the cusp of maturing. I reach out to them without hands, inspiring them to be more than what they are, shaping their bodies from visions of lost memories. But where do the memories come from? I am always left with more questions than answers. In my lonely shapeless existence the lizards cannot hear my words, and they cannot feel my touch, and I must wonder, do I even really exist? --- Called emotional, abstract, and beautiful by readers, this story is an observational account of a disembodied entity that has the power to influence and change a race of mildly intelligent lizard creatures. Memories of a previous life often serve as inspiration, but also generate questions as to whom the entity might have been before it became an Overseer. (presented in short chapters) (Thank you readers for getting my story into the top 5 ;u; ~<3) [Overseer has moved, please see Final Annoucement]
While still a young child James was bought by the Sorceress Lauren. She told his desperate family that she was looking for an apprentice. In reality she recognized the great store of magical energy the young boy held and she desired to feed from him; and thus take his power for her own.
The local people had another name for the Sorceress; they called her the Swamp Witch and most were in fear of her though they all needed her potions to survive living on the edge of Drake's Swamp.
James would learn many things while being the slave of the Swamp Witch, many of them bad but his experiences would make him someone to be reckoned with.
An Epic Fantasy inspired by the Wheel of Time, the Stormlight Archive and the Name of the Wind
The first of the chain of events prophesied to end the world has begun. The Great Winter reaches its third year and creatures of nightmare thought to be long extinct roam the land once more. The Tree that protects Faengard crumbles, and only those with the blood of kings can restore it.
As a boy on the cusp of adulthood, Ein Thoren's concerns were largely limited to which of the village girls he would marry—but when a mysterious man calls upon his father to save the world, Ein finds himself leaving behind his quiet village life to bring his father back. Along with his childhood friends and a bumbling storyteller, they face a path filled with monsters and myth, swords and sorcerers, dragons and princesses, and a demon wolf that seeks to swallow the sun, all while the world unravels around them in what will be the age to end all ages.
The Heroes of Faengard will ride again. Let the sun rise, and the world be reborn through the ashes of war.
Book 1: The Blood of Kings (Chapter 0 to current)
Release Schedule: I aim to release a minimum of one chapter a week, though sometimes I might release more.
DISCLAIMER: I do not own the cover image in any way. Full credit goes to the original artist.
When the Advent began, Drew Michalik was working in a top secret facility in Washington, D.C. When all electronics simply ceased to work and blue screens appeared before him, he gained access to a mana interface and a number of crystals called xatherite. Utilizing these xatherite, he gained the ability to cast spells. Now alone and in the dark, he must battle through the bunker turned dungeon in a desperate bid for survival. But getting out is only the first of his many problems in the changed world, as Drew struggles to survive and keep himself, and the rest of humanity, safe through the anarchy.
Advent: Red Mage is a hero's journey told in three acts. It is a system apoclypse book and will include greedy and immoral characters. Evil will be evident, and horrible decisions will be made. This is a world where the morality of the current day has no place, and some of the monsters will be human. The MC is mostly good, but is still a flawed human being. Light LitRPG elements, no harem.
Updates on Saturday and Monday.
